Duty of the Position
Assist clients with non-medical care which includes, but is not limited to: Cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care, appointment scheduling, accompanying to doctor visits, etc. Provides care/ service in a professional manner. Ensure the client's safety and well-being are met at all times. Take appropriate action during any emergency situation per EldaCare protocol(s) and procedure(s). Be punctual at clients' homes. Maintain satisfactory performance of the job. Cases that are being offered may be temporary coverages, with the possibility of becoming permanent

Hair, skin, foot, nail, and oral care
Medication reminders
Meal preparation
Assist with feeding
Assisting with ambulation (wheelchair, walker, cane, etc.)
Clean dentures
Washing clothes & linens
Light housekeeping
Repositioning in bed
Job Conditions
Caregivers that can work independently and require minimum direction. compassionate and friendly. A caregiver that can travel to a patient’s home/living facility and help them perform basic tasks like cleaning the house, bathing the patient, and providing them with companionship and emotional support. Caregivers may also be responsible for driving and escorting Caregivers to appointments, grocery trips, and other important errands. They may also help the client with any mobility issues, like helping them in and out of their beds or chairs and pushing them in wheelchairs.

Qualifications
The minimum education requirement for a Caregiver is a high school diploma or GED.
A Caregiver with a mix of skills. A caregiver that is highly organized and able to multitask, and able to help with a range of home chores, such as preparing meals and cleaning. Depending on the patient level of care the Caregivers will need skills and experience working with patients with Alzheimer’s or dementia. A caregiver with empathy and the ability to care for a client’s social, emotional, physical, and mental needs and have an understanding of what to do in emergencies.
