Hi I'm Olivia Obuadey

One of the rewarding parts of my life is being a nurse. Although the nursing career is multifaceted and complex, it allows me to be challenged scientifically, technically, and spiritually. As a nurse leader, I am humbled but honored to impart my experience and expertise to others who are willing to equally serve in this selfless profession. I aim to impact on health care delivery methods, quality of care, and overall health care outcomes. My love to have a profession in healthcare started on vacations when I was in high school. I used to help out at a clinic checking vital signs of patients being checked in to see the Ob/Gyn at a clinic owned by my late uncle Dr. Samuel Ardayfio. Being part of a care team at the clinic for a few hours weekly helped me realize my passion and how someone’s day can be made brighter through one’s gentle touch and smile to improve one’s life. Patient-centered care improves the quality of life. As caregivers, it is important to remember that patients are people that should be treated with compassion and respect during the provision of care.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University with Masters of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management. I have been a registered nurse since 2005. I bring experience from Med/Surg telemetry, worked the ventilator unit, worked as a night shift supervisor then as a Case Manager and DELEGATING NURSE in long-term care and assisted living facility. I helped review resident care needs prior to admissions to ensure their needs can be met by the organization. After that, I worked as an assistant to the director of nursing for 5 years. I am currently the Director of Nursing in a Nursing home. Through seminars, using strict directions from the state, and the use of seminars from ACHC, CHAPS, and OCHQ we are well within MD compliance.
